Uh Oh!!! Looks like Uncle Chris got in a tight spot.

As a result of Uncle Chris being in a tight spot, we had to walk back to the truck.

Summer Break

It's hard to believe that Summer is more than half over. We've been extremely busy so far this summer. Our Summer break started with a week of Vacation Bible School. Then we took off for the farm and Grammie/Grand-daddy's house. As usual, we had a blast on the farm. We brought back a lot of fresh vegetables straight from the garden. When we came back it was time for Hannah and Anna Rebekah to go to camp. The camp was called Summer Show Offs. They learned several songs and dances. They finished the week by putting on a big show for all the parents. They did a great job! The next week Lisa left to go to a teachers conference in Atlanta. The kids went to stay with MiMi and Pops while I got to stay home and work. When I got off from work at the end of the week I drove over to meet Lisa in the ATL. We ended the trip by meeting MiMi, Pops, and the kids in the mountains for a weekend of camping. The kids love to go camping with MiMi and Pops. Other than being a hot, it was a great time. In the middle of all this chaos Anna Rebekah had a birthday. Not just any Birthday, but a double digit one. She turned 10 years old. I can't believe it. She is growing up to be an outstanding young lady. The forth of July we met our friends the Travis' at the lake for some fun on the water. We swam, played a game of baseball, and ate lots of awesome food. That night we watched a great fireworks show from the porch overlooking the lake. Next Logan left to go his first youth camp. This camp for middle schoolers is called The Edge. He was very exited to be going on this trip. The camp was located at Covenant College which is on Lookout Mountain in GA. He met lots of new people and learned a lot of cool things. On Thursdays throughout the summer, Lisa and kids have gotten involved with Southtown Ministries. During this time they go to an inner city day camp and do an art project with the kids. They have been blessed by being a part of this ministry. The kids have also been busy spending the night with friends and having friends spend the night with them. As you can see, it has been ONE BUSY SUMMER so far. Looking at the calendar it's not slowing down any time soon.

The Salutatio

Every year the 6th graders at Westminster have a graduation cerimony. They call it Salutatio. Salutatio is a latin word for greetings. For example, when a group of older people welcomes in a group of younger people. In this case the upper school was welcoming in these rising 7th graders as they leave the lower school. It was a great night and we were extremely proud of Logan.
